Rob Brown returned to running in 2009, after a combat injury resulted in a leg amputation. Shortly after, he began impressing track and field coaches through the US Paralympic Military Sports Program. An all-state track and field athlete in high school and college standout, he has amassed a string of awards since then, including the CISM 100m gold medal and 200m silver medal (IPC Classification T-64), 2016 Invictus Games 200m and 4x100m relay gold medals, and a 2016 Milrose Paralympic Military 60m gold. Among his proudest moments is his nomination by his team to be the US flag bearer for the 2013 World Championships in Lyon, France.

My intent behind every movement and foot placement towards the finish line is in memory of those who are still fighting to preserve our way of lifeā€¦and those who are unable to continue that fight.
