Adriana followed in her sister’s footsteps trying out wrestling, and a love for the sport stuck. She had chosen to start modeling, softball, and wrestling all at the same time, but after showing up to a modeling gig with a black eye, she realized she needed to choose. Wrestling was a clear choice, not because she was great at it yet—but she wanted to see where it could take her, and she appreciated the challenge and peace the sport gave her. Adriana graduated high school early to be able to join WCAP sooner and feels proud to serve her country, knowing she is not only helping herself, but many others around her also. Now she and her sister both are representing the country as Soldier-athletes on the world stage.

Knowing I serve my country makes me feel really proud, I know I can help not only me but anyone. It is a different feeling knowing I do a sport in the Army because it is rare to get an opportunity like this. It gives me way more to appreciate this sport and my country.
