James has wrestled since the third grade. Much later, he discovered Greco-Roman and was drawn to the emphasis of throwing in the style. Although he made a name for himself in football, too, wrestling was his real love. During his time in the Navy, he wrestled for the All-Navy team. Since joining the Army and WCAP, he has single-mindedly focused on pursuing Olympic and World medals.
