Head Coach Mason Heibel, from Wasilla, Alaska, is the Head Coach for Paralympic Swimming with the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program. A graduate of Jacksonville State University and the University of Colorado, Heibel served from 2008 to 2017 as an 11C Infantryman and 89E EOD. Since joining Paralympic swimming in 2022, he has coached his athlete to five silver medals at the 2024 Paris Paralympics and earned an Order of Ikkos medal.

Coaching with the WCAP has given me the incredible opportunity to continue serving, helping athletes reach their potential and represent our nation with pride.
